This exercise has the best of both worlds: isometric muscle holds, and isotonic/dynamic movement. The ab muscles naturally tighten when you roll the exercise ball out, culminating at the ‘top’ of the movement when you’re almost in a plank position. It’s also one of the safer exercises, since you’re on your knees for the duration of the movement.
