Why Your Eating Schedule Matters

f2When it comes to losing weight, we all know that it’s important to keep track of everything you eat, and of course how much food you eat. But if you’re looking to lose weight in the near future, you should definitely keep in mind the times you’re consuming calories.

Some of the biggest issues with overweight people isn’t just how much they are snacking, but when they are consuming the snacks (we’re referring to eating later at night). Of course, you should probably know that this makes sense, but why do many still do it? When you eat just before you go to bed, your body isn’t able to efficiently burn off those calories which, in turn, is transformed into fat.

A recent study published in Cell Metabolism found that mice who ate whenever they wanted to over a full day gained more weight than the other subjects who were restricted to a 9-12 hour feeding period.

So what does all of this mean? Plain and simple, DON’T EAT LATE AT NIGHT! Or if you do, make sure to burn off the cals first!

If you find yourself struggling to not eat after dinner, consider a lighter dinner with a smaller, healthier fruit 3 hours before you go to bed. But remember, make sure not to overeat!
